I am going to put as much effort into this post as the Riders put into the game last night. Also, I am about the flee the country for a few days so wanted to leave you with my sentimonies before I left.
And those sentimonies are… we suck. In a massively important game in front of our home crowd the team game out with all the energy and urgency of a preseason game. Defense delivered one great series, which Quali Conley them promptly f’ed up. The offense responded with one great drive and then when to sleep until it was time to pile up garbage time stats. D-line could not get within an area code of D and we suddenly seem religiously opposed to pressure… instead opting for the “drop 9, fail to cover anyone” zone. O-line could not generating anything resembling a run game against one of the statistically worse run defenses in the CFL. We just looked bad.
We keep digging our hole deeper and
deeper going from contending for first, to in the mix for a home playoff game
to now our options are looking like crossover or miss the playoffs.
At leas the halftime show was really cool.

Safe trip RP. The word for today is "BELIEF". I don't "believe" that the Riders "believe" they WILL win a game going in. The way they lost this game speaks to me of a team with a very fragile psyche, regardless of what Trevor says. He's been saying the same thing for weeks.
More than even us winning this week, which I think unlikely & who knows what the mindset of the Riders is with another loss, we need Calgary to beat the Bombers IMO, who are a game behind. The way they are playing I don't see them beating the Elks the following week. They need TWO wins to lock up 1st (or 1 & BC loss - not happening with Ottawa this week). So no rest for the starters. And I have faint hope the Bombers beat BC on the final weekend. But both of us will be playing with teams resting starters with the Elks coming here.
This week I just can't see the Riders beating the Als. Go Stamps.
The way the Bombers are playing the Riders might back into the playoffs. Can't see Bombers going more than 1-2 the next 3. Riders should take 1 more game.
SK/Mtl - I don't see Maas resting starters this early. Wasn't he part of the purge in 2022?
Other games
Edm/Ham - Too much on the line for Elks. Won't take Cats lightly again. Sooner Elks wrap up 1st, better for Riders. Edm by a TD or more.
Cal/Wpg - Stamps stewed at the bottom a long time. Wpg has been a mess, especially @ home. Stamps win.
